About James M. Dickey
The JM behind JMDickey Arts, James has been behind the lens of a camera ever since he took his first photography class during his freshman year of high school. Since then, he has experienced much of the world in pursuit of new experiences and the desire to capture memories. James believes photography is so special because it can freeze a moment in time, the viewer is immediately transported into a memory when they stumble upon the image. The camera can capture a raw and authentic moment with pure honesty and simplicity.
There is no replacement for the physical touch of a book, photograph, or print to James. There is a special connection human beings have with an object that is well-made and crafted with love. As we move forward into an exciting world of virtual reality and remote presence, what will never change is the most cherished memories we keep will be tied to tangible objects. As a goal, James strives to produce things and images that invoke emotion and connection in the beholder.
